Third Sunday of Eastern time

All the prayers and songs of eastern time talk to us usually about the happiness, the joy, the exaltation and novelty of the life the comes from Jesus.

And it would seem a contrasting fact to talk about joy and happiness when in the history of human kind we see so many wars and destruction, when in the history of our own countries we see corruption and inequity, when in the history of the Church we see the devastating consequencese of evildoers, and when even in our own personal life we see so much pain and grief due to evil deeds that we have comitted or that other have comitted and that affect us.

But it is precisely in those moments that we gotta remember, the Cross is just a door in the way of the Resurrection. That eastern light going through our whole history just like a thread, illuminates it and reshapes it, and turns it into a beautiful master piece, a precious history of salvation. Jesus’ resurrection reminds us that death doesn’t have the last word, that there is hope, and as the Church catechism teaches us, we will also be risen again “like him, with him and through him”

That’s the light by which the apostles were able to comprehend the Scriptures, it is the encounter with Jesus living and present among them that they finally saw clearly de plan of God. Under that light Peter will see that in spite the evil done by Jesus’ murders, the Lord took advantage and used it to defeat evil by the power of good, offering not just forgiveness to the people immediately responsible for Jesus’ crucifixion but He extended it to the whole humankind. And the chief of the apostles won’t hesitate in invitating to embrace it by pentiment and conversion.

Jesus has risen, and has ascended into heaven to interceed for us, so that we don’t fear if we fall down by sin, but instead amending us and asking for forgiveness we may let ourselves be filled by his Divine Grace and with our head held up high we can walk trusting that He has redeemed us, offering to our heavenly Father the perfect cult in the Love of the Holy Spirit.

Remember If one makes a mistake, one corrects himself, and if one is doing good, one looks to do better and better. What a joy will men find when meeting out Heavenly Father in the day of our death He can see in us a heart that beats with the love of the Hearth of his beloved Son.

The resurrection of the Lord illuminates our darkest times, but this light shines through real people like you and me, people that faithfully trusting, and moved by hope look towards transforming all things by the love of God , for the glory of the Holy Trinity.

May the Lord grants us the grace of letting ourselves be transformed by the faith in his Resurrection in a way that we may take his Love to the whole world, beating in our hearts the love of Jesus Sacred Heart.

Las oraciones y los cantos de este tiempo de pascua nos hablan habitualmente de la alegría, el gozo, la exaltación y la novedad de la vida que brota de Cristo. Y parecería ser una hecho contrastante hablar de gozo y alegría cuando en la historia de la humanidad vemos tanta destrucción y guerra, cuando en la historia de nuestras naciones vemos tanta corrupción y desigualdad, cuando en la historia de la Iglesia vemos los estragos de la malicia de los hombres, cuando en nuestra propia historia personal encontramos tanto eventos de dolor y pena ocasionados por el mal cometido o por el que otros han cometido contra nosotros.

Pero es precisamente en esos momentos de dolor que hemos de recordar, que la cruz es la antesala de la resurrección. Esa luz de la pascua es la que pasando por toda nuestra historia, la ilumina y la de forma, la convierte en una historia de salvación. La resurrección de Jesús nos recuerda que la muerte no tiene la última palabra, que hay una esperanza, y como dice el catecismo de la Iglesia, nosotros también resucitaremos “como Él, con Él y por Él”.

Es a la luz de ella que los apóstoles comprendieron las Escrituras, es más, es en el encuentro con Jesucristo vivo y presente en medio de ellos, que finalmente vieron con claridad el plan de Dios. Es bajo esta luz como Pedro podrá ver que no obstante el mal cometido por los asesinos de Jesús, el Señor se valió de eso para transformar el mal a fuerza de bien, ofreciendo el perdón no sólo a los responsables de su muerte sino el perdón de todos los pecados la humanidad entera. Y el jefe de los apóstoles nos invitará a abrazarlo através del arrepentimiento y la conversión.

Jesus resucitó y subió al cielo para interceder por nosotros, en modo que no temamos si caemos sino que enmendandonos, pidamos perdón y nos dejemos llenar de su gracia y así alcemos de nuevo la cabeza confiados en que el esté intercediendo por nosotros, ofreciendo el culto agradable al Padre en el amor del Espíritu Santo. Si uno se equivoca se corrige, y si va bien, pues que se empeñe en buscar el modo de hacerlo siempre mejor. Puesto que alegría encontrará el hombre el día en que el Padre eterno vea en en sí un corazón que late con el amor del Corazón de su Hijo.

La pascua ilumina como luz en medio de tinieblas toda la historia de la humanidad, pero ella se realiza en personas concretas, que con una vida entregada por la fe e impulsada por la esperanza buscar transformar por el amor a Dios todo el orden temporal, de modo que se una alabanza para la Santísima Trinidad.

Que el Señor nos conceda la gracia de dejarnos transformar por la fe en su Resurrección de modo que podamos llevar su amor a toda la humanidad, que lata en nosotros el Corazón de Cristo para que ame en nosotros el mismo Cristo.
